4. Turner Classic Movies //

In their recent rebrand, Turner Classic Movies traded their more exclusive black and burgundy color palette for a logo, website, and on air look dominated by the color teal. In doing so, they literally refreshed their entire image, portraying themselves as a more welcoming and nostalgic classic cinema destination for a wide range of modern audiences, rather than just serious cinephiles.

5. Black Light //

Although Black Light’s strong, sophisticated brand features primarily black and white design, the one color they use in their company logo and branding is teal. Reflecting a cool confidence and composed calm, their use of the serene blue green tells us that they will not only deliver professional service, but do so with friendliness and ease.

Although Prive Salon & Spa’s modern, urban persona is evident throughout the imagery and design of their website, their use of teal as a text color on almost all of their pages and the primary background color on their spa page ensures that customers also see them as a space for therapeutic escape and serenity.

On this public resource site hosted by the British Association for Counseling & Psychotherapy, the use of light blue green across their entire website creates an enveloping sense of welcome, calm, and knowledgeable professionalism. By pairing teal with other soft pastels, the overall site comes off as especially soothing and appropriate for the topics it addresses.

For this established, gourmet restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina, the teal background of their website not only matches the coastal ease of their building’s soft yellow paneling; it creates a persona for the restaurant that is sophisticated and refined and as well as relaxed, nostalgic, and warmly welcoming.

9. Baker Odds & Ends //

Although Baker Furniture’s main website features a sleek black and white design that reflects their place as a designer furniture manufacturer and retailer, their discounted floor sample website adds teal to the mix, retaining a sense of composure and sophistication while also making “Odds & Ends” a more accessible and inviting pathway to transforming your personal space.

10. House Advertising Agency //

For companies who want to portray themselves as professional yet friendly, established and also perceptive, teal is a color that is up to the task. For House Advertising, the subdued blue green used throughout their site does just that while also cementing their self-proclaimed identity as a company centered, first and foremost, on honesty, integrity, and transparency.
